The Orchard Program

Serving the Charlotte community, The Orchard Program provides safe, affordable transitional housing for individuals on the path to independence. Our mission is to foster community-based living environments where every resident is respected, supported, and empowered to build a brighter future. This mission is deeply personal. Our founders and their families have experienced housing insecurity firsthand. We understand the struggle for stability and the transformative power of safe housing and a caring community. That lived experience guides every decision we make, ensuring people, not profits, remain at the center of our work.

We believe housing is more than shelter; it’s the foundation for growth. That’s why our model goes beyond four walls. Through all-inclusive living, weekly wellness check-ins, and access to essential community resources, we help residents focus on their goals with the stability and support they deserve.

Community is our cornerstone. We welcome veterans, re-entry individuals, and those living on fixed or limited incomes, creating spaces where people can belong, rebuild with confidence, and hold each other accountable on the journey toward independence.

Whether you're seeking a fresh start or a trusted partner in community housing solutions, The Orchard Program is here to walk beside you every step of the way. Because when dignity takes root, stability grows.

About Us

A safe place to grow

Based in Charlotte, NC, The Orchard Program is a proudly women-owned initiative dedicated to providing safe, affordable housing for individuals. Our mission is to create supportive, community-based living environments where every member feels respected and empowered to build a bright future.

At The Orchard Program, we believe housing is more than shelter; it is the foundation for growth. With all-inclusive, shared living, weekly wellness check-ins, and access to community resources, we help our residents focus on their goals while providing stability along the way.

Our work is deeply personal. Many of our founders, friends, and family have experienced the challenges of homelessness, and we understand the importance of having a safe place to call home. That is why community always comes first in everything we do.

We also believe that true stability is built on strong values. Family, support, honor, and faith are the foundation of our program. These values guide how we operate and shape the way our community cares for one another. We strive to create an environment where every resident feels embraced like family, supported in their journey, honored for their experiences, and encouraged to hold onto faith for a brighter future.

Whether you are seeking a fresh start or looking for a trusted partner in community housing solutions, The Orchard Program is here to walk beside you every step of the journey. Where dignity takes root and stability grows.
